This photo is very nostalgic for me. There are many reasons for it. At first it has been taken in my grandpa’s and grandma’s house, and then it has been renovated and a lot of things changed. As you can see in the upper corner it still was the February 11th of 2008, so I am 2 years old here. At the top there are My nieces and nephew. Narek, Karlen, Mane and a little further Hayk. Hayk and Narek are siblings. In the middle of the picture is my grandfather Harutyun, but all of his grandsons call him “Hayrig”, that’s a tradition in our great family. My great grandma, the mother of hayrig (we call her Mamig) was from Van (nowadays Turkey). I have a colorful toy in my hands, and as I remember it always became a tangle in my hands. I dont have any uncle, but instead I have 4 aunts. In total I have 12 nieces and nephews by my mothers side. Also I am uncle for 4 babies of my elder nieces. Having a big family is really good thing, cause you always have a support from your kins. We always come together when it’s someones birthday, a holiday or just a good time for a gathering. As I guess that day we were celebrating the birthday of my youngest aunt Arev. So it’s not suprising that on grandpa’s neck there is a glossy golden tape. I keep this in our family album, cause it’s always funny to watch and compare it with nowadays. In this picture my two brothers are missing (also the rest of our family), but since 2008 our family has sprouted and now it is even bigger.
